Stuart Neale, PhD, is a seasoned electrophysiologist and neuroscientist who guides the operational and drug discovery strategy as CEO, ensuring robust, study-specific execution. Stuart brings extensive experience in CNS pharmacology, electrophysiology, and scientific communication. He has led multidisciplinary discovery teams, developed electrophysiology‑based screening strategies, and specialises in translating complex neural data into clear, actionable insight for project teams, investors, and partners. At Neurexpert, Stuart drives scientific strategy, client engagement, and the interpretation frameworks that help transform raw electrophysiological data into mechanistic understanding. His combined expertise in data, communication, and CNS biology shapes the way Neurexpert supports and guides drug discovery programmes.
Tom Salt, PhD
Chief Scientific Officer
Tom Salt, PhD (CSO), is an Emeritus Professor at UCL, Fellow of the British Pharmacological Society, and co-author of over 200 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Nature and Science. Tom brings unparalleled expertise to Neurexpert. His groundbreaking research spans neurotransmitter pharmacology in several neural systems, serving as a recognised leader in the field. His expertise underpins every assay we run and every interpretation we deliver.
